Official pass standards and in-app practice performance are different measures. This page uses question-level, device-level records from PickMyQuiz learning_progress. As at 6 September 2026, the four IIQE banks contain 130,330 real answers from 1,403 devices.
options.selected_count is excluded because it contains synthetic social-proof seed data. Accuracy below comes from is_correct on actual answers, and only a device's first answer to a question is kept. It is not the official IIQE pass rate, a unique-candidate count or real-exam data.Practice overview across four papers

Across 3,227 questions, weighted IIQE practice accuracy is 70.2%. The weakest paper in practice is Paper 1 (64.1%) and the steadiest is Paper 3 (75.7%). Different apps have different learners, repeat-answer patterns and item mixes, so the paper-level gap is not an official exam-difficulty ranking.
Current lowest-accuracy topic in each paper
- Paper 1: Structure of the Hong Kong insurance industry, 1,607 answers, 58.6%.
- Paper 2: Insurance products, 13,242 answers, 69.9%.
- Paper 3: Types of life insurance and annuities, 10,537 answers, 73.7%.
- Paper 5: Introduction to investment-linked policies, 633 answers, 63.5%.
Keep MPFE separate
MPFE is a separate examination and is excluded from the IIQE weighted figure. Its 528-question bank has 26,994 real answers and 71.2% practice accuracy. Its lowest-accuracy published topic is ORSO and MPF interface arrangements, with 1,825 answers at 67.0%.
How to use the figures correctly
- Check sample size: some small topics have much less evidence.
- Compare practice only: never present 70.2% as an official pass rate.
- Study the cause: use topic accuracy to find weak areas, then tag errors by role, timing, definition, number or exception.
learning_progress answers. Topics require at least 100 answers for publication, and figures change as new answers arrive.
